  Tai Chi

"The mind should come first, the body later.  The body should follow the mind as a shoadow follows an object.  All movements are directed by the mind, not by exerting muscular strength."

Tai Chi is a martial art form with practical applications, but is foremost practiced as a meditative exercise for the body.  In Chinese philpsophy, the concept of 'chi', a vital force that animates the body, drives the pattern of movement associated with this art.  For more information about Tai Chi, clickhere.
