Afterschool Program

Our After-School program provides three age-appropriate classrooms with low student/teacher ratios.  Students enjoy safe, structured, well-maintained after-school care.

  1. Students are picked up from school each day and transported directly to our facility.  Students report to their After-School teacher in their designated classroom.
  2. A snack is provided each day.
  3. Afterschool teachers monitor and assist with homework assignments daily.
  4. Students are encouraged to participate in our Children's Karate program and attend classes according to the karate class schedule.  Students may attend classes outside of afterschool hours (after 6pm) at no extra charge.
  5. As time allows, students can utilize computer stations, borrow a book from the classsroom library, or play games with other students.
  6. Pick up by 6pm.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Q: How do I sign up?

A:  Click on the buttons above to download/print a registration form and bring it in to secure your spot.  The credit card authorization form (optional) to sign up for automatic billing will give you a monthly or weekly discount.

Q: Do you pick up from my child's school?

A: We pick up from most area public and private schools.  This year we have students from Creekside, Ridgewood, Wintergreen, WH Robinson,  Ayden Elementary, AG Cox, Greenville Montessori, and Winterville Charter.  We just added on Eastern Elementary, St. Peter's, and EB Aycock.  If your school is not listed, please call to inquire.

Q: Do you have drop off services?

A: We do not have before school care dropoff in the mornings.

Q: Are you closed when schools are closed for holidays, teacher workdays, etc?

A: We attempt to follow the same holiday and inclement weather schedule as Pitt County schools, and will always announce scheduled closing dates in advance.  We do offer full day services on teacher workdays and extended holidays (nominal fee for students not enrolled year round).  We pick up on early release days according to the Pitt County Schools schedule.

Q: What is your inclement weather policy?

A: In the event of inclement weather, we announce our intentions as early as possible.  We will make announcements on our facebook page and in the announcement section of the website.  In addition, you can sign up for our inclement weather call list to be notified by text or email.  Typically, if the school day starts on a regular schedule and is closing early, we pick up early and stay open in order to ensure that students have a safe place to stay until their parents can get them.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: On regular school days, we will have staff on site beginning at 2pm.  If your child is not participating in a later class, they should be picked up by 6pm.  On days that we offer full day service, we are open 6:30 am to 6pm.  Parents are encouraged, but not required, to watch their children's karate classes.

Q:  Do you accept drop-ins looking and seeing what is going on for afterschool and summer programs or do you need an appointment?

A:  Drop-ins are always welcome.  We will always have a staff member available during our hours of operation to speak with current or prospective parents and families.
